Don't Get Even Get Odd
Outside: Little girl running; a woman’s knees, a key tied to the handle of a black metal box. Inside, on the left, a green glass “Pueblo Drugs” prescription bottle forms the torso of a doll with salt and pepper hair, atop an upside down and polka dotted coffee cup. If you look closely, a rusted steel ball pendulates underneath. On the right, a wooden parrot is perched on an old chess piece, above a gaily painted vintage tin noisemaker -with a protuberant and sometimes quivering blue wooden ball! Saucy gold ceramic boots have been deliberately positioned to draw the eye toward this inscription on a black building block soapbox: “Don’t Get Even, Get Odd”. Embrace the breathtaking beauty of it all!
