Coin Wrappers
On the perimeter of the back of the box, these words are barely perceptible: “Be honest”, “Know the truth”, “Tell the truth”. The words circle the collaged images: a gnarly tree, a warped and folded book, and weathered hands spread on a lap. On the front, a bright red metal arrow points toward carvings that resemble bubbles. Inside, a doll’s arm lies protectively across a closed rigid leather purse, over and above a domed glass paperweight that magnifies a hazy path. There are many, many hatch marks. . .
